About Meert Tree Farm
Meert Tree Farm was founded in Oakville by Domien Meert and his father in 1963 on 6 acres of land. Initially, the farm was only advertised by word of mouth throughout the local community. Domien, his wife, Eileen, and their 6 children eventually outgrew that location, and they expanded to 150 acres in Festus in 1980 after interest grew exponentially. In 2003, the Meerts closed the Oakville farm and began their new adventure at the Festus location.
Sadly, Domien Meert passed away in November 2016. His daughter, Jennifer, now runs the day to day operations of the farm along with the help of her siblings and Domien's grandchildren. Eileen is still very much involved - you can see her daily at the bow making table or interacting with any and all customers.
