About Meert Tree Farm

Meert Tree Farm was founded in 1963 in Oakville, Missouri, by Domien Meert and his father on a modest 6-acre plot. In those early days, the farm grew through word of mouth and support from the local community. As interest and demand blossomed, Domien, his wife Eileen, and their six children outgrew the original location.

In 1980, the family expanded their operation to a beautiful 150-acre property in Festus, where the farm continues to grow and thrive. After many wonderful years in Oakville, the original location officially closed in 2003, and the Festus farm became the heart of the Meert family’s new adventure.

At Meert Tree Farm, we’re proud to offer seasonal traditions the whole family can enjoy—including Cut-Your-Own Christmas Trees, Decorating Classes, and a Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin Patch.

The Meert Family

Though we were deeply saddened by the passing of Domien in November 2016 and Eileen in June 2023, their legacy lives on. Today, their daughter Jennifer leads the day-to-day operations, proudly supported by her siblings and the next generation—Domien and Eileen’s grandchildren. â€‹The Meert family is honored to continue sharing their tradition with your family, one season at a time.
